Becky Senkbile was named as the winner of the 2016 Mother Bonzel Award on Thursday during a ceremony in the CHI Health St. Francis Chapel. The award is presented annually to honor a St. Francis employee for volunteerism in the community.

Senkbile, a medical secretary in the Pathology department, has been working for St. Francis for more than 30 years. Well-known to her friends and co-workers at St. Francis because of her personal faith and her God-will-provide attitude, Senkbile has regularly provided comfort as she prayed with and alongside patients and co-workers.

For more than 10 years, Senkbile has been involved in the jail ministry at the Hall County Jail. She also provides a weekly Celebrate Recovery program for the women at the Hall County Corrections facility and is always willing to be an active sponsor to assist them in their recovery efforts.

Senkbile’s dedication extends beyond the walls of the jail; she also assists in the outreach program for those who have just been released. Additionally, she has also been involved in numerous fundraisers to benefit the less fortunate in our community.

Senkbile’s life truly exemplifies that of Mother Bonzel’s devotion and love for others. We are blessed Becky is part of our St. Francis family!
